With 3 simple ingredients found in my cupboard, I was able to cure our dying dog of (open) pyometra, naturally!!
One sick puppy……
Our pug Paisley became very ill over the summer. I first noticed that she was spotting blood along with a clear discharge. There was also a foul odor coming from her woo hoo (aka vagina).
She wasn’t eating, drinking, or being her playful self. By day 3 she was so weak that she could only drag herself to get around as if she was paralyzed. Something clearly was terribly wrong.
The vet ran multiple tests and had determined she had PYOMETRA. She explained that this was a serious and life-threatening infection of the uterus that must be treated by an emergency spay. It would also require multiple days of hospitalization due to her frail state.
Finding a cure…..
Without surgery, my vet assured me she would be gone in 2- 3 days but could not gaurntee she would make it through surgery. Her chances were slim either way.
I then had to make the tough decision to find not go through with the surgery and look for another alternative. I wrapped Paisley in her blanket and headed home.
I immediately began searching the web for a cure. What seemed like hours later, I could only come up with one single remedy from an unfamiliar website.
After reading through all the comments on this particular page, I began to have some hope. All of them claimed to have used this exact remedy to save their dog’s life, and it worked! At this point, I had nothing to lose.
Manuka Honey, Turmeric and Vitamin C Protocol for Pyometra
A combination of Manuka honey, turmeric, and vitamin C were the 3 ingredients that others had successfully used for their pets. One website suggested I give the doses for a full 10 days 3 times a day. On the first day giving her 4-5 doses to really jump-start her immune system.
I did what the website suggested. I gave her a total of 5 doses the first day and 3 doses a day thereafter for 9 days.
According to the website each ingredient amount should be given to your dog according to weight. I have listed below what they have suggested.
Unfortunately, I cannot find the website I found this remedy on! It seems to have just vanished! So I am super grateful I wrote it all down! The exact ingredients I used are listed below as well.
How Much Manuka Honey Should I Give My Dog for Pyometra?
I was able to find manuka honey at our local Kroger’s store but it can be found at most health food stores and Amazon. I used raw honey until I was able to go to the store. Seemed to work just fine.
The recommended dosage goes by your dog’s weight.
* Over 80 pounds 3 teaspoons
* 21-80 pounds 1 1/2 teaspoon
* 5-20 pounds 3/4 teaspoon
How Much Turmeric Should I Give My Dog for Pyometra?
I used organic Turmeric also from Krogers. This can be found at most health food stores or your local grocery store. If you have turmeric capsules you can empty the capsules onto a measuring spoon. Again, determine dosage by weight.
* Over 80 pounds 1 teaspoon
* 41-80 pounds 1/2 teaspoon
* 21-40 pounds 1/4 teaspoon
* 5 -20 pounds 1/16 -1/8 teaspoon
How Much Vitamin C Should I Give My Dog for Pyometra?
The sodium ascorbate vitamin C is the easiest on the stomach for your dog. I used a tablet form that I crushed with a pill crusher.
* 5-20 pounds 500-1,000 mg
* 20-80 pounds 1,000-2,000 mg
* Over 80 pounds 2,000-4,000 mg
Helpful Tip:
- The hardest part was getting Paisley to take the remedy! I had to get creative. I cooked some raw chicken breast and cut about 1/4 of that up into pieces and then added the turmeric, honey, and vitamin C remedy to it. It was super sticky so I then added some organic bone broth to help dilute it a bit.
As sick as she was she gobbled it all up! The other doses for the day I put in a syringe and gave it to her orally. I used bone broth because it also has a ton of healing properties in it as well!
Pictured below are the exact ingredients I used minus the chicken.
This is what the remedy looked like after adding some bone broth. Without it, the consistency was too thick to suck up into the syringe.
After only 3 days she was back on her feet and her playful self again! I still continued to give her the remedy for the next 10 days as I could still see and smell the discharge. But by day 10 she had made a full recovery!
What you need to know about pyometra BEFORE treating your pet…..
This secondary infection occurs as a result of hormonal changes in the female’s reproductive tract. Usually during estrus (while in “heat”). Pyometra typically occurs 2-8 weeks following a heat cycle.
It can occur in younger dogs but is more common in older dogs. According to our vet, dogs who are not spayed or bred are usually more prone to contracting this type of infection. However, our Paisley had been bred twice and was about to be fixed right before she had fallen sick. So it can happen either way in my opinion.
Here is the REALLY important part.
There are 2 types of pyometra – open AND closed.
An OPEN pyometra is less dangerous than a CLOSED pyometra. Luckily for us, Paisley had open pyometra. This is where the cervix is open. With an open pyometra, I was able to visibly see her vaginal discharge that smelled foul and contained blood and pus. An open cervix allows the infection to leave the body.
With CLOSED pyometra, the cervix is closed and the infection is not able to drain out of the uterus. A closed uterus that is full of infection will eventually rupture, spilling the infection all through the abdominal cavity and causing death.
Surgery is the only recommended option in this case.
Symptoms of Pyometra:
Fever
Lethargy
Distended abdomen
Foul, bloody, or pus-filled vaginal discharge
Loss of appetite
Weight loss
Excessive thirst
Depression
Ways to avoid your pet getting pyometra….
Have your pet spayed! If not, the risk for this type of infection could return.
If you have any other natural remedies for pyometra please share in the comments below! We would love to hear them!

Hi, my 10 year old female pit bull, Angel, had been showing pyometra symptoms, except she had appetite. I was so worried because we lost my mother-in -law’s dog with closed pyometra. Angel had an open one so we were able to see her discharge. My husband found your site, we started giving this formula right away. On day 5th, her discharge was getting lighter, and today is her 7th day if treatment. I don’t see any bloody discharge. She loves this formula, evey time I start preparing a dose, she comes in kitchen and starts begging. I didn’t have to add any chicken stock or anything. Thank you for this information and I’m so glad that I still have her with me.

Greetings, Jessica… I found your website looking for natural remedies for Pyometra. My girlfriend’s chihuahua, who has grown very attached to me, developed Pyometra during her last cycle. I took her to the vet and they said her WBC count was high and she was full of puss (which I already knew about looking at her discharge). I had a diaper on her to prevent her from licking so much and recycling the infection. They tried to scare me into the surgery immediately, saying she could die. But I didn’t want to subject her to surgery with having so much infection. I had just recently had her rabies shot and 2 teeth extracted. That combination of procedures made her very lethargic and not herself at all, so to send her straight into surgery didn’t set well with me. The vet gave her antibiotics and I went about my way. I stated giving her the Manuka Honey, Tumeric, and Vitamin C regimen and she actually lives licking it off the spoon. Her Pyometra seems to have cleared. No more discharging, and the cough has almost completely vanished. My question is, should I spay her if we’re not breeding her? I’ve read some countries it’s illegal to spay and neuter pets. How do they prevent Pyometra in female dogs? I just want my chihuahua to be in the best health possible without compromising her. If I do spay her, what steps can I take to ensure her a healthy life afterwards, mentally and physically? Thanks for your time and I’m so happy I found your website. Take care and stay safe.

Hello Travis! I hope your dog is doing well and that the remedy has worked. Spaying is the best preventive from what my vet and my own research has told me. However, after 3 years my dog is still doing great without being spayed though we are planning on doing so. You can give this remedy maybe once a month for 3 days as a preventative but I personally have not needed to do that either. I would suggest regular check ups to your vet should be all that she would need to stay healthy. Thank you for sharing and take care!!

Hi Jessica – I have a 12 year old staffy who is 80+ pounds, not spayed and has a uti. She just started antibiotics and is responding to it. This time (yes recurring around heat cycles twice a year) it’s a little severe and the vet would like me to take her for an ultrasound and possible surgery. She is very resistant to hospitals and can tolerate vaccinations. She is drinking lots of water, pooping fine, eating freeze dry foods. Tired. What can I do?
Jessica Gonzalez says
Hello. I am so sorry to hear about your dog. Unfortunately I am not sure what else you can do other than give the remedy a try. Since I am not a licensed vet or doctor I don’t feel comfortable giving that kind of advice out. I would do a little research and go with your gut on this one. If she’s responding to the antibiotics I would definitely keep her on them but maybe adding a doggy probiotic to her diet to help with the side effects. Prayers go out to you and your pup!!❤️
Jill says
Curious how your pup is now? I’m reading this in December 2020 in a very similar situation. Our 7 year old dog has pyometra, emergency surgery is not an option for our budget. If we can get her over this hump she can have a regular price spay. She got one dose of antibiotics and I am now trying this. Fingers crossed!!!
Jessica Gonzalez says
Jill, I’m sorry for the late response and pray your dog is doing well! It has be 3 years since I gave my dog this remedy and she’s doing wonderful! ❤️

My precious 12 year old angel Chihuahua Niki just died of closed pyometra only showing obvious signs she was not ok the last day. I’m absolutely devastated as she was my best friend and favorite fur kid, we were like two peas in a pod!!! She was on an excellent organic grass fed diet from New Zealand her whole life (no wheat, corn or soy EVER!), very healthy and slim otherwise. Animals instincts take over to protect them from predators so they often don’t show signs until it’s too late! ! I wish I had known some of less obvious signs to look for a month after her heat cycle such as not being quite as affectionate, more irritable and less tolerant of our other dog and not wanting to run out the door with me to go in the car the day before!!! She ate dinner the night before so I thought she was down in the dumps, as I have worked from my office a little bit more lately (including the day before). The morning of her passing, she had diarrhea and then just stood without moving (probably in pain) and I rushed her to the vet. She died in my car in the parking lot of the vets office of which we had to wait an hour to be seen! These unconstitutional govt mandates are affecting and killing our pets too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The vets office quoted me $1800 for an outside agency to do a necropsy , but a friend had told me about WSU Washington Animal Diagnostic Lab (WADDL) (call veterinarian schools in your area) which only cost $210 plus $127 for cremation from an outside agency, as well as shipping cost in a styrofoam ice chest containing ice packs. The vet that completed the necropsy stated she died of closed pyometra and may not have made it through an emergency spay surgery the day before. I spoke with him for a while as to why I never wanted to spay her due to hormone related cancers and other health issues that result. I was rather shocked, but he actually agreed with me with one exception, doing a “Ovary Sparing Spay’ (OSS) removing the uterine horns and cervix, but leaving the ovaries in tact to avoid future hormonal issues. He also stated there are alternatives for neutering as well so I started doing my research (alternative neutering options as well) and have decided to possibly spay my other 10 yr old Chihuahua that weighs 2.5 lbs even though I was told by a 30 year veteran vet (when she was a puppy) not to spay her, as it could cost her her life! The vet at the Diagnostic Lab stated you have to call around to make certain they perform the OSS and what the added cost, if any would be. This vet stated most veterinarian offices and hospitals don’t do them or wish to learn even though it is much better for the animal long term. He also stated he only does spays this way (except if there is an issue with the ovaries) with many different species he worked with as a long term vet at San Diego Zoo in his previous position!!!Following are some excellent links for your review and discernment:

Jessica Gonzalez says
I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your sweet puppy!!! ❤️❤️ AND Thank you so much for sharing this information!! This confirms the concerns I have had on spaying and neutering. I have had 2 dogs spayed just this year and I’ll be calling the vet to see exactly what method they used. Hopefully it was the OSS method like you explained. We put our trust in these vets who make us be think we are doing what’s best for our pet only to find out we could have just increased their chance of a hormone related cancers!! 😡😡I get we need to control the population. There are too many dogs and cats without a home. But there has to be safer way that doesn’t cause harm to our beloved fur friends. Again, thank you for sharing this information and I hope many will find what you have shared. I may just have to write a post on this this after I do some more research!! Thanks again and sorry for the loss of your fur friend!! ❤️❤️

So I work in veterinary medicine and I have now had 2 dogs nearly die because owners have chosen to try this treatment. One of them was an unknown diabetic which is still fighting for her life due to the honey causing her to go into diabetic ketoacidosis. The other had a very high fever and would have likely become septic within a few days if owners did not choose to have her spayed. I think this is poor advice and causes people to think they can fix an issue and avoid medical care for their pet. My experience is very likely a very small percentage of how many patients end up like this. I would also not be surprised if you take down the bad news posts so that it appears as though your posts are only full of good outcomes. You are not a doctor and potentially have caused far more harm than good with this “advice”
Jessica Gonzalez says
Hello. Thanks for stopping by. No, I do not take any comments down. Only if they are vulgar or threatening but thankfully all comments have been wonderful as you have noticed! I’m happy to leave this one up as well. If I felt this post was causing more harm than good I would absolutely take it down. But I know most who come here are here as a last resort and have run out of options and are able to save the life of their pet. I have the right to share my experience with others and others have the right to hear it. This remedy saved my dog from dying. My vet gave her 3 days to live. I love my vet and we have a great relationship. She knew her medicine could not save her and she was right about that. So I was left with no choice but to find another alternative and I did just that! It is why my Paisley is still with me today 3 years later. Uterus still in tact!! I know it’s hard for medical doctors to accept that 3 natural ingredients can do so much to heal the body but it worked for her! I also expected to get comments like yours but I’m ok with it. The hundreds of comments I have received speak for themselves. As for the dog who is diabetic, I’m so sorry to hear that happened. I’ll will be happy to add this as a precaution to my post. So thank you for sharing. I do however have a hard time believing that the small amount of honey that this remedy calls for is to blame. But I’m not a vet and to be safe I will be adding this along with the other warnings I have mentioned in my post. As for the dog with a fever, I know from experience that the infection causes the fever not the remedy. My dog had a very high fever among other symptoms long before the remedy was given. Again, all those symptoms went away after 3 days of taking this remedy. But you are right about one thing, I am not a doctor nor do I claim to be one anywhere in my post. I make it very clear that I’m just a pet owner sharing my experience with others in hopes of saving a life. I also state early on that even though this remedy worked well for me it should be used as a last resort and that surgery is the better option if you can. But to get real this is not always possible for everyone. My purpose for this post is to provide those you need another option that IS safe and that works. No pet needs to die from this.

Hi!
Are the doses divided into 3-4? Or do I make it each time, giving her 500-1000 mgs each time I give her?
Thanks!
Jessica Gonzalez says
Hello! Depending on your dog’s size that is how much you need to give her each dose.
Stephanie Muzsek says
My Pomeranian is 17 has stage two kidneys and heart issues. We also found out she has a stump and I’ve been having such a hard time battling this. She gets the discharge, smell, doesn’t want to eat and back legs go out. We keep putting her on antibiotics but it comes right back. I’m hoping this will work for her. She weighs a little under 5 pounds now. My question is if I do 3/4 honey, 1/16 teaspoon of turmeric and 500 vitamin c is that mixture for one dose or is it for the whole day? Also do you think I should just do three times a day for 10 days or should I give her more the first day? How many hours apart do you give it?
Andrew Wright says
Hi, I just wanted to add to this –
We have a 12 year old Chihuahua who has had heart failure and was already a high risk patient. 2.5 weeks ago, we took her in to the vet and they said she had an open Pyometra and said that dogs usually have surgery to remove the uterus. Since she was already a high risk patient due to her heart issues, if they put her under, she might not come back up. So it felt like they were saying, we either need to put her to sleep because she could die from the Pyometra or we need to risk her dying during surgery. On top of that, we really couldn’t afford surgery. I started looking around and not long after, I found this video on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtluEiGeezo.
I did some additional research on the Manuka Honey, Turmeric and Vitamin C and saw that it was posted in a few places. There was barely anything on Yun Nan other than the study Dr Jones shared on his video. That being said, for the last 2 weeks, we’ve given her Clavamox, Orbax AND we’ve given her the honey, turmeric, vitamin C and Yun Nan powder. Within the first 3-4 days her energy shot up and she was back to being hyper. After about 7-8 days the discharge stopped. We’re continuing to give the YunNan at least for another week. She’s doing tons better. Thank you for sharing this. We’re still monitoring over the next few weeks to see if she maintains her health but THANK GOD, we were able to get her healthy without needing surgery (thus far). The doctors also recommended potentially giving her hormone injections that would help expel the discharge but I don’t think we’ll be needing that.
PS If anyone uses this, initially it was hard getting her to take the mixture of ingredients because she hates oral syringes which is how we had to give her the prescription Clavamox and Orbax. We had better success mixing the Manuka (40+ MGO from Whole Foods) , Turmeric, Vitamin C and Yun Nan powder in her food. We started giving her fresh food about 5 months ago which she loves and helped regulate her weight. We mixed those ingredients in with the food 3 times a day for the two weeks. I hope this helps someone as this video helped us.
Thank you!!
Jessica Gonzalez says
Andrew, thank you for sharing! I am happy to hear she is doing better!! I have never heard of Yun Nan powder so I am excited to learn more about this. Thanks again for sharing this information. I am sure someone will find this helpful as well!
Maggie says
Yes Andre thank you for sharing this as I was waiting to post a comment after hearing what the student in ve school or she may have said studying veterinarian medicine. Anyway some vets not all and as a matter of fact it’s very few that will be completely honest with you instead of trying to drain your bank account. Vets are extremely expensive especially if it is an emergency. I’ve had my Staffordshire Pitt, my baby girl since she was born. I helped her mother during labor only because it was her first litter and she çame to me and stayed by my side. Anyway my girl has a tumor on her stomach where the cord was bitten down too far. I had never heard of pyometra before and I was scared to death when I found out she had it. The emergency vet I took her to told me what it is and the cause of it along with treatment. She had open pyometra and discharge along with fluid was coming out of her like her water broke. Anyway the operation was kinda being pushed on me even thou it was a possibility she wouldn’t make it, the tumor could bust or be cancerous. If it was cancerous it would spread. I asked him for the third time about other options as I thought that it was caught early. Finally I started to Google and get second opinions while he was standing there talking to me. I asked him what would he do if it was someone he loved dearly like a child. He then explained to me that she needed to increase her white blood cells so they could fight off the bacteria along with giving her antibiotic’s for the infection. Vitamin C definitely will boost your immune system and a doctor once told me that honey has healing properties that are used for so many things. I didn’t know about the tumeric however I was told to get pomegranate from vitamin shoppe and I also bought dog aspirin for the inflammation, Vitamin C, tumeric, I also bought the dog treats that have the pouch for meds to go in. I am so happy she got better and I’m also grateful that I came across your post. Please don’t ever stop sharing home remedies or holistic remedies. Some of these remedies are actually better for them, instead of filling them up with shots, medications, surgeries etc only for them to go through all that and not make it. I will always share my discoveries and if you want to use it, then it’s your choice, if not then keep your opinion to yourself and move along. I don’t think that anyone has money to hand over to a vet and then they come up with something else that requires more money, this goes on and on. I love my girl and she will be 9 next month. I take her to the vet for her check ups and shots so I am not against them at all. I’m just saying that if you haven’t tried it, don’t knock it. It will be plenty of money waiting for you when school is over.

Hi,
My 9 yr old pug Coco has been diagnosed with open pyometra , long story short I ended up getting this home remedy in which I’m now on day 3 , at first her discharge was quite thick and bloody now it’s thin liquid a lot less bloody and more brown/ grey looking .
My question is what should the discharge look like as I don’t know whether it’s getting better.
Coco is still eating when I feed her and walking around normal and sitting in her normal spot in the sun.
Thank you in advance
Julie
Jessica Gonzalez says
Hi Julie! So sorry to hear about Coco. Unfortunately, all I can go by is my past experience as I am not a licensed professional in this area. What I can tell you for sure is that my pug Paisley prior to treatment could only use her front paws to move herself and was not eating or drinking. By day 3 of giving her the remedy she was back to her normal energetic self but still had some bloody discharge and odor. By day 8 the discharge and odor had gone but I still continued to give her the remedy for 2 more days (10 days in total) twice a day just to be safe and as suggested by the original author of the site I found the remedy on. I hope this helps! Please keep us posted! Sending love and prayers to Coco!

Thank you for the kind words. I really appreciate that, you have made me feel much better about my decision! I do believe my girl had open pyrometra the 1st time because she had a huge discharge of blood and mucous. The treatment I feel cured her then because she was normal for the next 1 1/2 years. The doctor that did the surgery last week kind of made me feel like she would have survived if I had decided to let her have the surgery the 1st time. This made me feel horrible. But as you just said we must listen to the feelings we get at those moments. I believe now I made the right decision back then. This time was different and I got different feelings about it. This time she must have had the closed pyrometra because she was normal up to the last 2 days. At least she went peacefully and didn’t suffer. Thank you so very much!!
Shirley says
Hi, my dog was diagnosed with pyrometra in Oct of 2018, vet said she had to have surgery to live but could not guarantee she would survive the surgery. I was given antibiotics since I did not want the surgery and I did research and found this website for the manuka honey, turmeric and vitamin c. My dog was a yellow lab. I began the treatment with the antibiotics and she seemed to be getting better. About a week after the antibiotics ran out she started getting sick again. I was still doing the manuka honey treatment. I got a refill of the antibiotics and she began to get better again. But 2 weeks after being off them she got sick again. The doctor did not want to give me another refill because she said I was just putting a bandaid on the problem. She either had to have surgery or be put down. I finally got the doctor to give me one more round of antibiotics and my dog got better again and did not get sick again and seemed to recover. I continued the manuka honey treatment for about a month and she seemed good. That was in Nov 2018, today is March 2020. My dog just went through a heat cycle and she became very sick again about a month later. This time it seemed different and her pyrometra was not draining. I had started the treatment again but it was not working. Now she was throwing up everything, was very weak, no appetite and no energy. She would just lay there and her feet seemed very cold. I took her to the vet as I knew she could not go on like this as she would not keep anything down. The vet convinced me to do the surgery because she was gonna die. She went in for surgery 2 days ago and did not make it. I am heartbroken. I feel I failed her. The doctor said she had a MAJOR infection in her intestines and thinks it was because I did not do the surgery 1 1/2 years ago. I do not know what to think. He said she was going to die either way because her intestines were black and blocking other organs from functioning. I dont know if I caused this by not doing the surgery in 2018 or if I gave her 1 1/2 more years to live because maybe she would have died during the surgery then. I dont know but I miss her so much! I just lost my best friend!!

Hi Shirley. First, I want to say how sorry I am for your loss. My heart goes out to you for a lot of us already know how painful it is to lose a pet. Secondly, please believe me when I say this, but you made all the right decisions. Anytime we follow our heart/gut we truly do make the best choices for that situation. That’s why we get those feelings inside. It’s guidance we all receive in all situations and need to listen to more often! Also, closed pyometra is much more serious than open from my experience and shows almost no symptoms until it’s too late. As to guess how long they have had it would be difficult in my opinion, but every dog is different. Before I knew our first pug had it, it was too late. Up until 3 days before her passing, our Bella showed no signs of even being sick. She was eating and playing normally. Once I realized something was seriously wrong her organs had already started shutting down. She died shortly after and her it was the first time she had pyometra. My point being you did everything you could do for her and I hope in time you can take comfort in knowing that. From what you have told us, every choice you made was made purely out of love and I am certain she felt every bit of that. That’s what’s really truly matters here. Thanks for sharing your story.
Kristine says
Hi, I work in vet med and this treatment listed on this website has nearly killed several patients of mine. Likely it was not because you did not perform the surgery 2 years prior but because she continually had this infection and likely became septic. It was likely the antibiotics that helped the most and the surgery would have fixed the problem immediately. By the time she went to surgery she was likely very sick at this point and a poor candidate for surgery though it was likely the best you could do at that point. Any pyometra patient is a risky surgery due to the potential infection that they have going on in their body. Its hard to know at this point what would have worked, but at the end of the day the treatment on this website was not it. I hope that if you come across this again with another dog you choose to do surgery as the first option.

Hi sorry to bother you but I am currently taking care of my shih tzu who has open pyometra and I was just wondering if I am doing the right thing. We have turmeric at home but I don’t know if its organic. I am using raw honey because I don’t know where I am going to find Manuka honey. As for the Vitamin C we are using ascorbic acid from the pharmacy. How long did it take till your dog is back to normal? Today is Day 3 of the remedy and we are doing this along side the vet’s perscription. She is still not eating by herself and is still in pain but she is slowly doing her old habits. Another thing, just to clarify. Is it 4 -5 doses 3x a day or is it 4- 5 doses a day? From one dog owner to another thanks for sharing your experience.

Hello Jess😇
What is the Blue bottle sitting next to your 3 ingredients? I see Vitamin c, turmeric, manuka honey and bone broth but can’t make out what the little blue bottle is?
Yesterday afternoon (December 31) I had to take my 5 year old best friend Leia to Pet Emergency here in Nashville. I had searched her symptoms and thought she had Open Pyometra and sure enough, that’s what the Pet ER dr confirmed. Her “life saving” surgery was quoted at 4-5 THOUSAND!!💔😢
I started your remedy last night when we came home disheartened by the cost of such a necessary surgery!! Leia is much more alert this morning and I’ve given her her morning dose. Thank you so much ❤️
Jessica Gonzalez says
The blue bottle is a pill crusher. I used it to crush up the vitamin C. I pray your Leia is well! ❤️

Am I supposed to give my dog the whole remedy I made in doses? If so, how much per dose?

I just started this with my 13 year old chihuahua. Two years ago she was diagnosed with a tumor in her liver and we were told it was best to put her down. I looked up home remedies and tried milk thistle and tumeric and it worked she still with us. Two days ago she started pooping tiny and mushy , not eating and licking non stop plus had discharge and blood coming out. We were told she had polymetria and not a good candidate for surgery because of age and liver. I figured let me try home remedies again . She was given an antibiotic shot that lasts two weeks. I bought all ingredients you listed and just want to be sure I give her half a vitamin c pill crushed at every serving ? 4 servings first day ? Then 3 for eight days ? We started late last night we did 2 . So I should do 4 today ? Or 3? Just want to be sure I got the right amount of vitamin c . She weighs 8.5 pounds. Noticed today she does have a little more energy. Your remedy and prayers are not last resort. Thank you !

Hello I messaged you back in November about my 10 year old pug Indy has Pyometra i just want to say thank you so much for providing this remedy the vets said that she would only have 3 days to live back in November but today Indy is still with me i am so happy i gave this remedy ago and helped my pug as she is completely back to herself i do keep giving Indy the remedy everyday twice a day now am scared if i stop the remedy she will get sick again but she is a lot better now thanks to you and the remedy xx
jesshappy2beeme says
Shaun, thank you so much for sharing your great news! I am so happy to hear that the remedy has worked for your pug. I also understand your fears! I have them too. From what I have read this remedy is safe to use as a preventative but I do not know how often or for how long you should give it to her. This might be something you may want to ask your vet. There are some vets out there who use more of a holistic approach and may have an answer to that question and could hopefully ease your mind a bit. If it helps, I stopped giving our pug the remedy after day 10 over 2 years ago and she is still with us today and healthy as ever! But you know your pup best so go with your gut instinct on this one! Thanks again for sharing and take care. : )

Hi Deb! One day of 4 doses is a great start. Keep up with 3 doses a day until you see some improvement. After that, twice daily should be enough for the remainder of the 10 days. Prayers for you pup!! Keep us posted.

I am on week 2 of this regimen 3 times a day, for my 11yr old English BD. I am still seeing a lot of discharge, mostly blood. I was hoping at this point it would be over. Any advice on this?

If she is back to her normal self and is eating and drinking as well she may just be going through her cycle. If it continues I would check with the vet. Keep us posted!

Hello! I came across your blog while searching home remedies for Pyometra, unfortunately my 7 yr old jack Russell got diagnose with it yesterday after seeing her let out this yellow discharge for the past 3 days. The vet told me the surgery will be $2,000 and I can’t afford it, I’m only a student. My heart shattered I didn’t know what to do, and thanks to Our God I came across your page! this morning I went and got all the ingredients, the Manuka money wa so hard to find but I found it! gave her 2 doses already you said 5 in total the first day, I’m praying to god this heals my little girl. I’m so scared of loosing her, I created a gofundme page but I’m
Having no luck reaching the funds for her, but I know God is on our side and he will do whatever he can. Every time I give her a shot of medicine with the syringe is 1 entire pill right? So that’s 5 pills for the 5 times of the day?

Thank you. My dog doesn’t have any other signs or symptoms of pyometra. Just that she is not spayed and is having milky discharge. The vet diagnosed her and I requested a complete blood count and cytology report. The vet could not tell me if it’s UTI or pyometra because E. coli can cause both. Once the vet came with the lab work and I noticed everything was within normal limits (bun, cre, k+, glu, everything except her wbc, RBC- 4.35- and platelet count). I opted out all the other things they wanted to run on her and brought her home and waited for the cytology report to come in, she is positive for E. coli and it stated found in the urine. The vet states she would not make it pass 3 days and kept calling till the culture came back. She was straining to pee before the vet appointment on 8/10 and was peeing blood clots, then just having a lot of discharge. She completed her clavamox treatment and Currently giving her d-manose every day and gave her k9 red cell and included liver in her diet. Is there another home remedy I can include for E. coli and discharge? Thank you.
jesshappy2beeme says
Hello. I really do not have a lot of knowledge on this subject as I have never dealt with E. Coli with our pets or my humans. I did do a little research and found that most UTI’s are caused by E. coli living in the gut which then can spread to the urinary tract causing infection. Another website I found suggested several natural remedies such as adding raw organic apple cider vinegar or organic lemon juice to their water twice daily. Other natural remedies this website claims to work are: UVA Ursi, cranberry extracts (more a preventative in my opinion), Vitamin C- to boost immunity, juniper berry extracts, echinacea, berberis, vulgaris, goldenrod, and grapefruit, seed extract. I will leave the link to this website below as it has a lot more information I believe might be of use to you. Hope this helps and if any of this works please let us know! I am sure someone else could use this information! Thanks for the update and prayers for your pup!! https://www.makelifenatural.net/dog-uti-home-remedies-works-doesnt/

How long can I give my dog this remedy? I completed the 10 day and my dog is still having discharge. She’s back to her normal self with her appetite and energy level. How long after till your dog stopped discharging. My bulldog’s discharge from chocolate milk in color is now white.
jesshappy2beeme says
Hello! I am happy to hear she is feeling better! This is a REALLY good sign. As for the discharge, I never saw any with our pug once she started feeling better. Because of this I really can’t say for sure how long this may last. If the discharge has any type of smelly odor I would suggest continuing with the remedy at least once per day until it stops. Don’t worry about overdosing her. This remedy is perfectly safe and is often used as a preventative. Give it to her as long as you feel necessary. If the discharge has no odor then it probably would be okay to take a 10 day break or longer as long as your do not see any of the pyometra symptoms returning. If so, then continue with administering the remedy another 10 days. Hope this help and please keep us posted!

Hi Jess,
We just found out our old girl had this and I would like to try your remedy since after reading the comments it seems to have helped many others. One question is I can’t find the link to the original page you found this information out on. I would like to read on it some more. Also I notice a couple times you mentioned that the prescribed antibiotics get rid of the good things in their gut. It’s just hard for me to believe that a vet would prescribe something to worsen the problem but I’m scared now that the antibiotic will make it harder for our girl to heal. Let me know your thoughts I really appreciate it. We need our girl in our lives for a least a little longer!!
jesshappy2beeme says
Hello Desirae! The original website that I found the this information is no longer working. : ( Thanks for letting me know! I assure though it is safe and it works! I did find another website, although written after my post that has the same remedy on it that other successful pet owners have commented on as well. I am not sure how reliable this site is but You can check it out here: https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/322850.php
Also, as far as for the antibiotics and their side effects I have experienced this myself when I was one them. After consulting my doctor she confirmed as well that these side effects are common. My vest also told me the same thing and she would not prescribe them for me because she had no success in curing pyometra in the past. Whether that is true or not, I do not know. Here are a couple of links you can read for yourself. Praying for a quick recovery!! https://www.healthline.com/health/infection/antibiotic-side-effects; https://www.webmd.com/drug-medication/video/video-antibiotic-safety-fluoroquinolones; and https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/322850.php

Are the amounts for each treatment or for a day treatments? Thank you for your help with Sporty.
jesshappy2beeme says
Hello! The amounts given are for each dose/treatment. If it’s the first day of treatment I would suggest giving her 4-5 doses in the amounts given for your dog’s size. The next 10 days following you can give her 3 doses a day. You can lessen the number of doses per day if you can see a major improvement but at least once per day for 10 days is recommended.

Hi Jess
Just to update you. Unfortunately the beast, pyometra, won and took my princess away. Probably this natural remedy wasn’t good for Hamster or giving manuka with turmeric plus colloidal silver wasn’t suitable for her. I don’t know what was wrong, but there was a hope for me to see her eating, playing start to be active, for this reason I kept going on. No words to describe the pain, I am aware death is a natural process but why in this way, I really can’t understand.
jesshappy2beeme says
Ella, I am sorry for your loss and the pain you are feeling now. Please know, you REALLY did everything right and all that you could. Unfortunately no matter how hard we try to keep our loved ones here on Earth, their souls know it’s their time to go. It’s hard, I know, but it’s just how life goes. I am certain that she left this world happy and in peace because you gave her the greatest gift of all, your love. Please take care and we will continue to keep you in our prayers.

Hi. I found your page after my dog Mia (sheltie) was diagnosed with pyometra. We can’t afford the surgery so I was looking for something to help her. She was already on some antibiotics when I started her on this treatment. I have been treating her for about 2 weeks now and she was more than halfway through the antibiotics when I started. Things were looking really good about a week ago but today I noticed the discharge is back and she is back to licking again. I will also note that I started giving her Dynovite at about the same time to give her extra nutritional support. I just mix everything in ground meat for her and she eats it all up. Last night was the first time she didn’t eat her food and the supplement mixture since I started. I also got colloidal silver for her but I haven’t been consistent with giving her that yet. I was also looking into some CBD oil for her. I was hoping this treatment would heal her up so I could get a regular spay for her in the near future. I would appreciate some help in figuring out where to go from here. Should I try getting multiple doses down her for a few days? She has been at 3x a day for almost 2 weeks now. I hope I got the right Manuka honey. It was hard to figure out what potency to get.
jesshappy2beeme says
Hello Jeannine. I am sorry to hear about your Mia. If it were me I would up her dose to 4 to 5 times a day for a couple of days. I would also try giving her just plain (cooked) chicken with some bone broth. All of which are very healing. Continue with the silver as well. The honey you chose should work just fine. I bought the lower potency myself not realizing there were different strengths and it worked for me. Please keep us posted. Praying for a quick and full recovery!!
jesshappy2beeme says
Another thing, antibiotics kill the good bacteria in our guts so she might be having tummy issues because of it. It also may be interfering with the absorption of the remedy you are giving her as well. Once the antibiotic is out of her system I am hoping you start to see some improvement. The Silver should help aide in digestion. You could also try adding a probiotic to help restore her gut health, which is a lot of the cause for any illness in all of us!
Jeannine says
Thank you for the advice. I will let you know how it goes in a few days.

Hi Jess
I am so happy to find out your blog and this post in particular. I have a female Syrian hamster affected by pyometra. Discharge, bleeding, lethargic, loss appetite are the symptoms that I have noticed. After researching on internet about it I have refused to go on with antibiotics and surgery, even if it’s hard to take decision for such a small creature. Obviously you want the best for your own adorable pet. Anyway I have given her colloidal silver twice a day, the I have found your post and I have started to give her this as well. It’s the fourth day of colloidal and second of manuka, c and turmeric. I can notice some improvement like eating more, bit more energy, the blood started to be darker and less discharge. Thank you so much for sharing your experience, hopefully mine to help some hamster’s owner as well. The dosage was a problem because she is so small and Obviously I couldn’t use the one you wrote. I have used less than quarter tea spoon for honey and turmeric and vitamin c( it’s a pill with something else extract not pure vitamine c). Hopefully my little princess is getting well.

Thank you Jess!
How is Paisley? Everything is ok now? I am praying for all little and innocent souls. It’s so incomprehensible why small creature get sick so bad😔. I have read different experiences about pet illness’s and it’s so hard and heartbreak. In situation like that you don’t know how to act, obviously you want the best for your own pet. Anyway I just want to update the status of my little princess, my Syrian hamster. So today is the 7th day of turmeric and manuka honey, I am not using vitamine C because the last time I have given she became more lethargic, swollen tummy and a lot of discharge, smelling blood. Probably was too much vitamine C or probably her digestive system cannot absorb it. Unfortunately I couldn’t find any information about it. Turmeric contains vitamin C anyway so hopefully it’s still working. I am giving her colloidal silver twice a day, today is the 8th day. I can see some improvement. She is more active, the tummy is not swollen as before, less discharge but not smelling, eating quite good. I will keep going on and I will update you. All the best for all creatures.
jesshappy2beeme says
Hello Ella! I am sorry to hear that the vitamin C gave her such a bad reaction but continue to go with your gut instinct! Every one of us digest things differently. Sounds like what you are doing is working just fine. From what I have read and experienced first hand, Silver is the strongest “natural” antibiotic out there. I even wrote a post on it. I really do think you are giving her the very best.
Our Paisley is doing great today.: ) She just had a little pup who is now 4 weeks old and soooo adorable! We will be getting her fixed after this litter though. No more taking chances of her getting pyometra again! Thank you for the update and praying for a speedy and full recovery for you Syrian hamster! Please keep us posted!

Hi my dog has pyometra and the vet said I need to consider putting her down but I want to know I have done everything I possi boy could so I have the ingredients list and how much you give to a dog but I’m unsure on how often you would give this amount. I have a pug too and I am devasted at the thought of losing her.
jesshappy2beeme says
Awww I am so sorry! I was told the same thing by our vet and she survived after I gave her this remedy! I would start by giving her 4-5 doses the first day then 3 doses for the next 9 days. Once she is her normal self again you can probably just give her 2 doses a day then down to 1. Just use your best judgement. Prayers for your pup!

I should add more about what happened with my saint Bernard Luna. She had been licking herself alot (cleaning the discharge off of herself) and then developed a furball in her bowels…and she wouldn’t eat for several days. She drank plenty of water, so I wasn’t worried, I figured she would pass the furball and be fine…she did this last year ) In hindsight, I think her not eating weakened her immune system, and she wasnt as capable of combating the infection as well…..plus my tardiness (i didnt think she had a fatal infection…just thought it was vaginal discharge) in treating her with this natural procedure from your blog. I think this cure has merit, for sure! I just was ignorant not acting soon enough, and I will never forgive myself as I think I could’ve saved her life if I had begun earlier. Thank you again for sharing this valuable information Jess….I will use it in the future on other dogs if needed!

jesshappy2beeme says
You are so very welcome and I am so sorry to hear about your Luna. Please do not blame yourself. If you had only known I’m sure you would have done all you could. If it makes you feel any better, we had the same exact thing happen to us with our other pug, Bella. One day I noticed she had this fowl smelling discharge coming out but saw no other signs of illness. She was eating and playing with the other dogs when the very next day she was dying in my arms. It happened so fast. Her whole body just shut down. Two hours later she was gone. No warning other than that discharge. I was heart broken. We ended up keeping her puppy because she looked so much like her. Two years later the same thing happened to her. It was over the weekend so by the time I got her to the vet she wasn’t moving, eating, or drinking. I took her to the vet that Monday and they gave me the awful prognosis. I then scoured the internet and gave her a heavy dose of the treatment that same day. Three days later she was back to her normal self. I think you are right though. Her young age might have had played a role her her surviving this. I think she was just able to fight it longer allowing me to give her the heavy dose of vitamin C, turmeric, and manuka honey. Thank you for sharing your story.
Diptayan says
I’m on 9th day.. discharge has almost stopped but she is vomiting
jesshappy2beeme says
Hello! I would suggest talking to your vet about the vomiting. It could be the vitamin C upsetting her stomach. To know for sure if her doses are causing her to have an upset tummy you could try giving her food with each of the 2 doses and see if that helps. If not def. check with the vet. As for the discharge it sounds like the infection is clearing up! : ) I would keep giving her the vitamin C mixture with food until you don’t see any discharge at all though.

jesshappy2beeme says
What you are seeing is the infection leaving the body. So that’s a good thing! We saw discharge for about week or so. I would say this is normal but I have nothing else to compare it to. As long as she’s eating and drinking and acting her normal self again then she’s on the mend.

Hello. I am happy you are seeing some improvement! Since I do not have a medical background I can only answer your question based on my own personal experience. It took our Paisley, almost 8 days for her tummy to go down. Another thing to keep in mind is, and this is just my opinion, but it would seem logical to me to believe that every dog will heal differently based on how sick they were before they started receiving medical treatment. If she still has a swollen abdomen and or becomes worse by day 8 I would definitely take her to see a licensed vet ASAP. Praying for speedy recovery! Please keep us posted.

Hi! I’m so worried! I’m on dose 3 and my baby is still not acting normal. How long does it take to see results?? She threw up one of the doses this morning. Is that normal?
jesshappy2beeme says
I am so sorry for little one! First, how is she doing now? Secondly, do you know if she has a closed or open (uterus) pyometra? If it’s closed surgery is the best option. If it’s open and you can see and smell a bloody discharge then it means her uterus is still open and you might try adding the mixture in with some bone broth which is very healing by itself. It may help soothe the stomach. Praying for fast healing!
Diana says
She’s still off, took her to the hospital bc she was throwing up. She was severely dehydrated. They want to do surgery but now her kidney levels are too high so they can’t. I’m so sad. I’m almost positive it’s an open Pyometra bc she has been discharging a lot, and now it’s blood. I’m taking her back tomorrow morning and they will continue on iv and antibiotics and then do bloodwork and decide if she’s able to do surgery. I’m starting to lose hope. And I became so hopeful when I found your blog. I just don’t get why it didn’t work for her. I’m all about everything natural which is why I looked it up and found you before even trying antibiotics. I’m so sad 🙁
jesshappy2beeme says
I am so sorry it’s not working. But don’t lose hope! Anything is possible! If she can tolerate it I would still keep trying to give her her doses. It’s okay to take while she is on the antibiotic. Another thing you might try is Liquid Silver. It tastes like water and you can give it to her directly. From what I have read it will kill any type of infection better and faster than an antibiotic. I actually just posted about it not too long ago! You can read all about it here….https://jesshappy2bme.com/my-doctor-suggests-silver-a-simple-solution-to-83-human-ailments-including-canine-parvo-and-more-review/ Maybe give this a shot and see how it goes??? Hi Jess.
I have 2 eight year old saint Bernard’s. Luna was diagnosed with pyometra and I began using this procedure on your blog to heal her. Sadly, within a day she passed from it. ( I believe it was open pyometra, as I could see her discharge). I either waited too long to get her diagnosed (I thought the discharge was part of a cycle) or the infection was too powerful to overcome for her senior aged body. I am just totally TOTALLY heartbroken. But now my other living saint Bernard also has mild discharge (for over a year on and off) but is still eating, acting normal, etc. Should I give HER this procedure as a curative solution? Or could I make her ( let’s say mild pyometra) worse with it? Or, if she does NOT have pyometra, and this is just an old dogs aged vagina with discharge, would giving her this procedure be harmful to her? I dont want to make a mistake and I would value your input. Thank you so much Jess! – Patrick

Hello Patrick! I am so sorry to hear about Luna. You are probably right about her age though. This infection took our first pug withing days and she only had discharge. No other signs had been present. I would definitely give your other Saint Bernard this remedy as it acts as a natural antibiotic and will help boost her immune system. Even if she doesn’t have pyometra, this remedy will act as a preventative and will not make her worse. Please let us know how she is doing! Again, so sorry for your loss and prayers for you and your pup!

I found your remedy when my 10yo lab is already on her 5th day of antibiotics. I can’t afford emergency spay, which cost a lot more than regular spaying. and I’m also scared that she might be too old for surgery. Today, it’s been a week since she was diagnosed, and hasn’t pooped. But when I got out this morning, she already did. She can lift her head now but still can’t walk. She may have tried standing, thus the poop but her poop was messy, she sat down on it, which means she can’t stand -but she did try and had the strength to do so. I continue to give your formula and I do hope she doesn’t need surgery to fix her condition. I know though, that if she is okay, we will consider having her spayed.
jesshappy2beeme says
I would try this remedy out on your lab as soon as possible. The antibiotics will cause constipation as it kills the good bacteria in our stomachs (dogs included). Once she’s better I would certainly look into spaying as a way of preventing this from happening again. Prayers to your pup!

I’m amazed and grateful, My 11 year old German Shepherd, Daisy, was diagnosed with open pyo, vet wanted her in surgery right away, but I couldn’t raise the cash (vet quoted £1800-£2000 as she was so ill and said she days to live without it, and couldn’t give her more than a 50/50 chance of surviving the surgery. but I persuaded the vet to try the antibiotic route to give us time to raise the cash. The antibiotics worked a little, though she was still not eating and after the two week course finished it came back, the frantic drinking, weeing everywhere, panting and she was so depressed.
We’d failed to raise the cash and Daisy was now scarily underweight, an I was preparing myself to have her put to sleep when I found this page and thought ‘What the hell’ and gave this protocol a try. I also gave her a capsule a day of oregano oil (a natural antibiotic) Within a few days she was recovering, and now 3 weeks later is back to her old self, eating like a horse and seems perfectly well!
I did look into the science behind it, and found vets have been using manuka flushed into the uterous of cows with pyo, with good results, and that turmeric affects female hormones, and encourages uterine contractions (which is why pregnant women are warned against using high dose turmeric suppliments as it can cause misscarriage) Fascinating stuff!
Thank you so much for this page xx

So happy to hear this! Glad to hear that Daisy is back to her old self! Ever since I found this remedy and used it on our Paisley I have seen manuka and turmeric come up EVERYWHERE as one of the most powerful antibiotics out there! The best part, it’s free of nasty side effects! I find the science behind all this fascinating as well! Thanks so much for the update!

I am trying this remedy on my 13 year old Maltese chihuahua. She is my baby, I don’t want to lose her and I can’t imagine losing her. 😭 I gave her a first dose this evening after getting all 3 ingredients! Praying and hoping for a miracle. She’s been licking like crazy in that area and I laid her down to see why and she was oozing lots of discharge. She still continue to lick a lot and won’t leave my side.. she won’t even go down the back steps to go pee unless I’m right beside her. I’m sooo worried.
jesshappy2beeme says
Malarie, I am so sorry to hear this. I would suggest giving her 4 doses today just to really get it in her system and start fighting off this infection. Then 3 doses for the next few days. Discharge is a good sign! That means the uterus is open and the infection will be able to leave her body. Please keep us all posted! Prayers to you and your pup!!
Cina says
What is the 4 doses. My dog has open polymetra and she is 130 pounds. Do I take the one teaspoon of turmeric and 3 spoons of manuka and 4 thousand vitamin c and give that dose to her 4 times a day. 🤯😳or do u want me to take that dose up and spread it out 4 times a day.
jesshappy2beeme says
Sorry for the delay. Hope she is doing well but yes! You would want to give each ingredient 4 times a day the first day and then 3 times until you see improvement. Prayers to your pup.

Hi….
Wish me luck PLEASE.
My Dolly (pug) is 6.5 weeks pregnant and I think she she has pyometra. I woke up to her beside me with a clear (like mucus) on my bedding . I took her to the vet straight away and he put her on a 10 course of antibiotics and sent her home. I lost my Daisy pug last year to this horrible infection and I couldn’t deal with the heart ache again. Dolly has had her first dose of the honey, vitamin c and tumeric remedy.
jesshappy2beeme says
Good luck Belinda!! I’m so sorry to hear about Daisy. : ( We too lost our first pug Bella, to this as well. You should start seeing major improvements around day 3. Please keep us posted!!

Thanks Jess! It took me a few days to figure out what was wrong with my 9 year old terrier Kaiya. And when I heard the grim prognosis (emergercy sugery or eminent death), I was devistated. I can barely afford to feed us, so the cost of surgery was never going to happen (not because I didn’t want to, I simply cant). Coming across your article provided hope. I had read similar articles, but all described much larger dogs, like German Shepherds. I tried your tips (thank you for dosing information). We are at the end of day two, and I am seeing some clear improvement. Hoping within the next 8 days Kaiya returns to her usual, vibrant self. You are a life saver!!!! Many, many thanks to you!!!!
jesshappy2beeme says
I am so incredibly happy to hear this! Please keep us all posted! Prayers for quick healing for Kaiya!

Thank you for this post. I was starting to lose hope with our 10 yo Lab. She displayed all those symptoms you mentioned. Today is the 5th day of her antibiotic treatment, but she still looks bloated. She has an improvement, though, she ate the pork I gave her. But I can’t help but think she’s dying. Thank God I saw your post. I will go buy turmeric ASAP. Question: is this okay if she’s already on Cephalexin but I still want to give her this natural remedy you have?
jesshappy2beeme says
Yes it is safe to take with other meds! Hope she is doing well!

Hi
Thank you so much Using this for love of my life Gods suoercstar gooden retriever

We are also using the homeopathic Pulsatilla30C they say if no change use Sepia 30C
Also using charcoal capsules to pull out poisons and chemical toxins

And pre n probiotics putting in good bacteria
God bless !
God and Dogs Rule!!
jesshappy2beeme says
Yes, this dosage is recommended daily 3 to 4 times the first day then 3 times there after. Eventually you can go to 2 doses a day then to 1 once a day as soon as you see great improvement. But I would wait until you are closer to the 8 day mark to do that.
Sandra says
How much do give of the charcoal ( I bought powder ) and how much of the silver?
jesshappy2beeme says
Reesi, I am currently writing a post on silver!! It’s a great natural antibiotic as well! I also keep charcoal capsules on hand in case our pets or one of us ingest something poisonous. It’s also good for occasional gas….hehe ; )

Thank you so much for this advice. I am on the second full day of giving this to my old gal and it is working wonders. She is back to her normal self and I will continue to give her this treatment for the next two weeks. You have saved my gals life and saved our heartbreak. Thank you so much this really needs to get out there so people know that there are other options.

Hey jess an up date to how my gal is doing she is fully back to her old self. I also think this has energized her so much as well. You are greatly appreciated

Good luck to you and your baby girl. I’m going through the same exact thing. Muffins is 10 years old and she has open Pyrometra. My vet has been giving her antibiotics to try to clear it up so just in case of surgery , she would have a better chance… The antibiotics have helped but it’s not going to go away and I don’t think my vet is going to keep her on antibiotics being she’ll build up a resistance. When I saw this article it had to be a sign.. I’ve had female dogs all my life and never even heard of this before. Good luck, God bless, keep me posted and I’ll do the same if you like.. This little one is my everything,no kids or family to speak of.. She’s been there for me through everything and now it’s my turn to help her however I can.🙏🙏🙏💗🐾🐶😇 God bless you and yours 💗

Hi Jesssl, thank you for this great post! Do you know if this treatment can also be used on cats? My 9 yo tabby is showing signs of open pyometra and we simply don’t have the funds right now for surgery, but I am willing to try any home remedies to help her or save her 🙁
jesshappy2beeme says
Hi Anna Bella! I am sorry for the delay of my repsonse. We have been remodling and have had no electric! Hopefully you have found the answer to your question. I have never tried this remedy on a cat so I am not sure but if it were my cat I would give it a shot. I would just use the dose down for a very small dog. Prayers to your cat!!
Jodi says
My dog has had the symptoms for a couple of days. As expected, the vet recommended surgery but it is just not a financial option for us. The vet sent us home with 7 days worth of antibiotics (and a grim outlook) and we are to go back in a week and decide if she needs more. Thankfully at least her cervix is open and we see the discharge.
Is this method something that can be done along with antibiotics? I’m hopeful they will work but so worried about her. She’s always been pretty strong and I’m hopeful but this is such a dangerous condition 🙁 I’d like to do more for her if we can.
jesshappy2beeme says
Hi Jodi, this remedy will not interact with antibiotics so it should be safe. I know others who have done both and successfully. Prayers for you and your pup! Please keep us posted!!

Hi, my dogs going through this and we don’t have the money for surgery. We’re going to buy all of these ingredients and try ourselves to nurse her back to health. Can you tell me if the Munuka Honey has to be raw or is regular okay? I can’t find raw munuka honey by me at such a short notice. Thank you in advance!

I couldn’t afford the X-ray and blood work to confirm ($500) but vet thought it was Pyometra so my lab was put on antibiotics…how do I know if it is open or closed? I’ve started her on tumeric and coconut oil and honey combo until I can get other ingredients.her tummy is growling, did your dog have diarrhea or vomiting?
jesshappy2beeme says
Hello Tanya. My dog did not have diarrhea or vomiting. My guess the antibiotics are causing this. You can tell if she has open pyometra if you see a bloody mucusy discharge. It will also have a terrible odor. If you do not see or smell anything then more than likely her uterus is closed. But you might want to call the vet and see if they could answer this to be certain. Prayers to you and your pup!

I have a parsons Russell Lilly who is 12 years old. She became extremely unwell very quickly. When I took her to the vet he doubted she would survive surgery and surgested euthanasia. I was broken hearted but decided to take her home to say our fairwells properly. She had lost so much weight was refusing to eat and shaking constantly. I already new she had open pyometra because of the fluids leaking from her. I’m not one to give up so set about doing research online. When I found your post I leapt into action because I new we didn’t have much time. Your invaluable advice and information has quite literally saved my dogs life. It’s been tricky getting her to take the remedy because she was refusing everything and I didn’t want to stress her anymore but I had no choice so decided syringing it into her mouth was the only way stressful or not. Today she is up and about wagging her tail and looking for food. She barked at the postman and ran to the door something I didn’t realise I could miss so much. We have a way to go building her back up but I just wanted to say a massive thank you. You have quite saved my dog 🙏♥️

Hi my shih tzu was just diagnosed with pyometra and I am really worried. How many days before you decided on getting her checked? Since we just thought it was just her heat it took us four days before we decided on taking her to the vet. The doctor gave us medicines for her to take but I’m still scared of what might happen to our dog

Please help..My 13 1/2 years girl had a closed pyometra, and after 2 injections with aglepristone, she opened and has a bloody smelly discharge. A lot of discharge! She did not eat anything for the last 3 days.I tried giving her this mixture 2 times, but after both the first and the second time, she got Diarrhea. She is 30 pounds( 13kg) and i gave her 1500 vit.C,1 teaspoon manuka,1/4 tsp turmeric, with a little bone broth( just a little so i can get the mixture with the seringe), then reduced to 1000 vit C, and a little less the other two, but she went out runny feces( diarrhea). I am afraid she will get dehidrated. She is barely walking, really lethargic. The doctor said i should say goodbye😭 Should i go on Even if she has Diarrhea? She refuses to eat,and barely drinking some water. Please help me..
Jessica Gonzalez says
Dear Luz,
I am so sorry to hear about your poor girl! It is good that you are seeing discharge. This means that the infection is leaving her body. Pyometra does cause diarrhea. It can also be a side effect of the injections she received. You could always call your vet and ask what the side effects are. Regardless, I would still continue giving her the remedy. My Paisley was in the same terrible condition and after 3 days of giving her the remedy, she was back to her normal self. Give her 4 doses today and then back down to 3 until you see improvement. I also used the syringe to give her plain bone broth and water to help her from becoming dehydrated. Please keep us posted! Prayers to you and your sweet pup!
