Dolphin Discovery

A big thanks to Taleblade for sending us a copy of  B.C.R. Fegan’s newest children’s picture book, “Don’t Ever Look Behind Door 32”.  We will read it many times over!

Over the weekend, my son Manny and I had the pleasure of reading “Don’t Ever Look Behind Door 32″ by B.C.R. Fegan.  Manny is a huge fan of books containing monsters, goblins, and other unusual and mystic creatures. After flipping through just a few pages, I knew this would be a winner for sure!

The whimsical and mysterious plot line reads like one of my personal childhood favorite’s, Dr. Seuss.  It’s words flow rhythmically while reinforcing cardinal counting skills in a fun and exciting way.  This beautifully illustrated picture book gave us plenty to look at having us linger a bit on every page.

The magical Hotel of Hoo and it’s host, Mr. Nicholas Hoo, are truly one of a kind and mysterious in many ways.  As Mr. Hoo gives a very exclusive tour to his new and only guests, brother and sister Jack and Olivia, he gives just one very specific warning.  NEVER look behind door 32!!!

While the brother and sister duo explored each door leading up to the forbidden 32, our anticipation continued to grow.  Behind almost every door, Jack and Olivia come across some pretty cool but very unusual guests.

FINALLY, the anticipated wait for what was behind door 32 is met with a pleasant but surprising twist that had us both laughing out loud!  I would love to share exactly what is was we found but I would hate to spoil the ending.  You will just have to read the book for yourself. : 0 )

This book is recommended for children ages 3-8, but as a child at heart myself, I am certain you will love it as much as I did!
